About Me

Hi! I'm Tamara/Tam! I am a senior at UC Berkeley as a Computer Science major. I'm from sunny San Diego, California, and interested in all things data and software! For Spring 2020, it will be my second time being a Head Undergraduate Student Instructor for Data 8, and I will also be taking CS 161 and EE16B. In my free time, I love drinking boba I need to stop drinking boba, otherwise I love going to the beach, hanging out with friends, playing video games, and weightlifting/going to the gym (I really like CrossFit)!

Teaching

In Fall 2018, I was a course staff tutor for the fastest growing course at UC Berkeley: Data 8: Foundations of Data Science. I taught two small group tutoring sections, grade assignments, and assisted in office hours, helping students with Python-based homeworks and projects. For Spring and Summer 2018, I was a lab assistant for CS 61A and Data 8 where I assisted instructors by guiding students through programming assignments during lab and office hours 1.5 hours a week and 6.5 hours a week respectively. Currently, I am a Head uGSI (formerly in charge of LAs, now in charge of content) for Data 8 and now teach a lab section, hold office hours, and grade midterms and finals.
